Empathy, self-awareness, and personal growth are all things we wish to instill in our youth. The PEA studio will host a young artist mentorship program during the 2017-18 school year to show our young artist all about the importance of being involved in their community whether it is spending time with a grandparent or sending a “Thank You” letter to a veteran. Through arts and crafts, we will allow artists to create pieces for themselves and artwork that will put a smile on someone elses face. With our mentorship program young artist will take a step by step program teaching them what being a community helper is all about through arts, crafts, and volunteer work. Our goal to achieve for our young artist is for them to experience personal growth and build numerous relationships with those in the community leaving a lasting impact on their lives.

The program targets young artist from ages eight to fourteen. Each month will represent an activity that has a direct impact on each individual and an art project will be given to each young artist to express their feeling about the activity. In May, to celebrate Self-Discovery month, a graduation certificate will be given to the young artist with a celebratory party to celebrate their personal growth and consistent involvement in the community.
